Welcome to the website of The Poston Foundation ("Foundation," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of www.thepostonfoundation.org and any related pages, content, forms, donation features, and online services made available through the site.

1. About the Foundation

The Poston Foundation is a South Carolina nonprofit corporation and IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity. The website is provided for general informational, charitable, educational, community-outreach, fundraising, and organizational purposes.

You may use this website for lawful, personal, informational, charitable, and noncommercial purposes related to learning about the Foundation, supporting its mission, contacting the Foundation, making donations, exploring sponsorship opportunities, or engaging with its public-facing materials.

Website examples do not guarantee a specific kit count, distribution quantity, or outcome.

4. No Legal, Financial, or Professional Advice

Nothing on this website is intended to constitute legal, tax, financial, accounting, medical, or other professional advice. Visitors should consult their own professional advisors as appropriate.

5. Donations and Sponsorships

The website allows users to make donations through Fundraise Up or other approved donation channels, express interest in sponsorships, or contact the Foundation about other forms of support. Donations help fund approved charitable programs and operations consistent with the Foundation’s mission.

The Foundation may use donations, unless expressly restricted and accepted by the Foundation, in a manner consistent with its exempt purposes, charitable mission, operational needs, and applicable law. If a contribution is designated for a particular campaign, program, or purpose, the Foundation may apply it in a manner reasonably consistent with that designation, subject to practical program needs, legal requirements, and charitable stewardship. Sponsor recognition is an acknowledgment of charitable support, not advertising, an endorsement, or guaranteed promotional exposure. Recognition may depend on donor consent, timing, available channels, and event plans.

Any statements regarding tax deductibility are subject to applicable law and the donor's individual tax circumstances.

6. Fundraise Up and Other Third-Party Services

Online donations may be processed through Fundraise Up and its payment-processing partners or through another approved platform identified by the Foundation. Those providers, not this static website, process payment-card information and provide the transaction flow and applicable receipt or confirmation.

The Foundation is not responsible for the independent terms, privacy practices, uptime, security, or technical performance of Fundraise Up, payment processors, or other third-party platforms. Use of those services is also governed by their own terms and policies.

7. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the website and its content, including text, graphics, logos, formatting, organization, and original materials, are owned by or used with permission by The Poston Foundation and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may view, download, or print website materials for personal, informational, and noncommercial use only, provided you do not remove attribution, alter the content in a misleading manner, or claim it as your own. No other reproduction, distribution, republication, commercial exploitation, or derivative use is permitted without prior written permission from the Foundation, except as otherwise allowed by law.

Using the public information

This website brings together current program explanations, proposed budgets, historical materials, and links to outside records. The context of each item matters. A funding brief describes intended work; a historical news item describes the event reported at the time; a public profile contains the information maintained through that service.

Carolina Cares kit illustrations show the program concept and possible contents. Poston Preserve maps and planning materials explain the location and proposed work. Neither a visual nor a plan establishes a completed distribution, property permission, government approval, or guaranteed future result.
