Donors, sponsors, grantmakers, community partners, and members of the public should be able to understand who an organization is, what it is working on, and where to find the supporting information.
A public due-diligence path
The Foundation’s transparency hub brings together core organizational identifiers, governance information, program materials, and public documents in one place. The site also links to external verification resources such as Candid and SAM.gov.
The Foundation’s public EIN is 85-0559047. Its website identifies Columbia, South Carolina as its headquarters and provides current leadership, board, contact, and policy information.
Program plans and results have different jobs
Current program pages publish budgets, targets, sponsorship levels, and operating frameworks so donors and partners can understand how a program is designed. Impact reporting is organized separately so completed activity can be reported as it occurs.
For Carolina Cares, that means connecting funds and donated goods to supplies purchased, kits assembled, distributions, and concise program updates. For Poston Preserve, the Phase One framework identifies proposed workstreams and the records the Foundation intends to use to explain progress.
Policies support the public presentation
The site provides a donation policy, privacy notice, terms of use, leadership and governance page, impact and accountability page, and public document library. Together, those resources create a clearer institutional record for funders and community partners.
